I can buy a toner, soap, moisturizer from a certain brand but sometimes I run out of one or two of these products so I use an old bottle of toner or moisturizer from a different brand that I stopped using. Doesn't seem that is irritating my face.
But is it wrong to mix them? Can they be effective in the same way?
Some brands have almost the same ingredients.
I have too many products from different brands that do the same thing, like Beauty Control, Neutrogena, Almay......Is it ok to use facial/beauty products from different brands at the same time?
Generally, over-the-counter products should not have any chemical that might react negatively with other common chemicals used in other over-the-counter products, especially facial products.
I use different products as well, from Body Shop, and Neutrogena, and even Estee Lauder. What is most effective for you might not neccessarily be from the same brand. It all depends on your skin and how it reacts to different products. What might have the same ingrediants might not have the same quality of it or same quantity.
So, there should be no harm in you using different products, unless they specifically put a warning sign that says it might be reactive to a certain kind of chemical, which shouldn't be the case.Is it ok to use facial/beauty products from different brands at the same time?
It is best to stick with a regimen from one brand, but occasionally it is OK to mix and match. I would reccomend using Dermalogica. It is so much better for everyones skin because they focus on several natural ingredients.
Yes it is ok to use both at the same time even though the product claims to work best with a specific product. Wal-Mart will use the same formula for name brand products and package it as equate. Also some companies will do the same and make a cheaper product but sell it under a different name for cheaper, This way they have a broader range of incomes buy their product.
This is just a sales ploy. If you find a mixture that works best for you then use it.
It won't make any difference at all. A lot of products are sold as a ';system'; but all that is important is getting the combination of ingredients you need, such as salicylic acid and benzoyl peroxide if you have breakouts.
i dont think that is a good idea. too much of the different types of products can irritate your skin and cause blemishes, the the products can also block up the pores can cause alot of bumps. therefore, it is not a wise idea .
