I recommend you go to Amazon and buy the book ';Acne Prescription'; by Yale dermatologist Nicholas Perricone. It will tell you more than you ever wanted to know.





Following what published researcher Dr. Perricone says in his book, I would NOT put harsh chemicals on your face like is found in Proactive, nor would I use acne pads, etc. I would use a mild apricot scrub that you can find at any store and work this in with your fingers as a mild soap to clean out the pores without having to scrub your face with a washcloth which creates inflammation and leads to acne.





Second, I would purchase ';Ultra Rejuvenex'; which is a high end face cream with 28 active ingredients that act as moisturizers, soothers, antioxidants, and anti-inflammatories. I would use it twice daily. At first for a week or so, a cream like this can make acne worse, but after over-moisturizing your face for over a week it signals the oil glands in your face to decrease secretion of oil, eventually making your acne improve. The prescription drug Accutane does this, too (but has potentially dangerous side effects). Accutane causes decreased secretion of oil in the face.
