I've realized that I can't just use any brand in the drugstore like Noxzema or Clearasil. Can you suggest a really good brand especially made for Black Women or a brand that works very well for Black Women's skin? What company makes the best facial products for Black Women?
Proactive works well for me, but I'm not a black woman. I'm black man. What company makes the best facial products for Black Women?
You should definately try Artistry. They in the top 5 prestige brands of skin care in the world, up there with clinique and stuff but much much better quality and less expensive. They have tons of stuff for all different skin types and are safe for sensitive skin. I love their products they all have exceeded my expectations and the cool thing is they will give you one hundred percent of your money back if you aren't happy with any of their products for any reason. You can't buy their products in stores but you can get them at http://www.adrennan.qhealthbeauty.com If you would like to get a little background info just go to www.artistry.com and this will give you info on the company itself and then you can go to the first site I gave you and check out the products or even buy them if you want. Best Wishes :)
Fashion Fair is the best.
Carol's Daughter (google Carol Daughter) is a product that is outstanding for us. It may cost a little money(20-50 bucks) but is awesome. If you want cheaper Ambi is also great. Try using Tone Soap as well from Walmart, Target or CVS and its like 4 bucks for 2 bars. Hope it helps.
Personally before Carol Daughter came out I was using Ambi and Coco butter. An old remedy for pimples were to use a drop of pee and it kept your skin straight. At night use vaseline as a mask. Vaseline is the best thing smoking and it can be used after brushing your teeth to keep that pearly white look. Also use on the lips because we as black women are beautiful people and our lips plus teeth stands out.
Let me know an update email me.
Dove can work wonders on all skin types. I use Olay facial cloths, but I'm white and really, really pale (Sun = evil) so I don't know if they'd work for you, but they're very effective for a good price.
Also, apricot scrubs are good. They are this cleanser with little beads in them that you rub on your face and they loosen things up quit a bit. I have bangs on my forehead (and oil from hair can reak havoc on one's face) so if your face is oily, an apricot scrub would be good, color or no color.
I don't mean to spam, but I have a question for you: What's wrong with Noxema and Clearasil? I have a friend with really, really, really dark brown skin (she's 17) and she's been using various brands (more to prevent break outs then to make them go away.) Do they hurt your skin or just not work?
ProActiv has worked well for many women of all races. It is costly, but a little goes a long way. The acne cream may lighten your skin somewhat though.
