What products do i need for a facial?

I am a salon professional and did not keep my book from school. But what i need is what products do i need to do the facial. I know how to do everything else but what products do i need to have a successful facial. What products do i need for a facial?
A variety of cleansers, scrubs, masks, toners, and moisturizers to suit different skin types. Cotton Swabs/balls, brushes (to spread mask), towels and washcloths, a steamer, magnifying light to examine client's skin, extraction tools. Maybe some essential oils and lotions if you give an arm or leg massage while mask is setting.

edit- the salon you work in should have a standard procedure, or number of procedures if they offer different types of facials. Can't you check with them? Procedure can vary between salons. What products do i need for a facial?
You need powder foundation for eyeshadow and face starters.

Also you need a whole makeup kit you can get it at shoppers drug mart. Also have alot of makeup remover.

hope I helped

Has anyone tried the AVANI Skin Renewal Facial Peel or other Dead Sea products? Does it work?

Just wanted to read some personal reviews of the product. Is it worth buying? Does it harm the skin or have any negative effects?Has anyone tried the AVANI Skin Renewal Facial Peel or other Dead Sea products? Does it work?
Hey I don't have any personal experience of using AVANI skin cream.

But I would suggest you to use this skin renewal cream from CastleBaths, I am using this cream for number of years and it's really amazing.

Is it worth it to buy makeup and facial products from department stores? Or are drugstores just as good?

Pricier makeups don't make them any better. Just because they have a popular name and a lot of advertising. Or because someone famous uses it.

Go with the cheaper ones and just keep trying until you find something that works for you.Is it worth it to buy makeup and facial products from department stores? Or are drugstores just as good?
Drugstores are typically just as good. Often the ingredients are similar or the same, but the company is able to mark the product up due to the name.Is it worth it to buy makeup and facial products from department stores? Or are drugstores just as good?
Whatever works for you. Prices don't really matter...the drugstore brands like covergirl, maybelline, neutrogena are just as good....personally for foundation i like maybelline, don't even use concealer or anything from wet n wild i was breaking out like crazy...for powder i like physicians formula..there just as good as any chanel product. as long as you know how to use it, you can still have a flawless looking glowy look.
I found a great skin care product that was developed by a plastic surgeon from Beverly Hills. He had a child with severe burns and came up with this product to help his child鈥檚 skin. It is reasonably priced and is the same quality you would get from a dermatologist, or an aestheticians office! Learn more about it here: http://TinyWebLink.com/?pid=1478690

I hope you like it as much as I do!
depends on the product and your skin
Makeup expires at the same rate, department or drugstore so buy what you can afford to replace when its needed.
Drugstore are just as good, and it should b cheaper. Look 4 a Wal-mart.
Some products from the department store are better than other products from the drugstore. But I say if you are on a budget then drugstore products are great! Covergirl works really good! It is from the drugstore. I love Clinique though! All works fine for me!! That is the point I am trying to make!
Drugstores are just as good. I have an acne-prone face, but I get all my makeup at Walgreens. Physician's Formula is great, b/c it's talc free, and less harsh for your skin. And, drugstores usually have a larger selection of more affordable items, so you can try out stuff and see what works for you.
Personally, I've had better experiences over the years with department store brands- you can feel where those extra pennies go when you put something on...it just looks and feels better. I reccomend Clinique- they make great products, and their prices on many items aren't that much higher than products by Neutrogena.
I think you need to read about the ingredients in the brands you are considering. Mineral oil is something that comes in a lot of make-up - it's a cheap filler and you are paying for it. While there is nothing wrong with it, I avoid it because it acts a bit like saran wrap on your face. As an experiment, buy a small thing of mineral oil - put a cracker in it - after 30 minutes, the cracker still snaps like it's new - yuck! Many ingredients also use tallow or tallow derivatives (this is a polite way of saying animal products and by-products). I am at an age now where I am really paying attention to what I put on my body and skin. I use products from Arbonne - they are botanically based and great for my skin. Whatever you decide, research what is in them!
it's the same product- just different stores.

What are the best products or ways to cover facial blemishes such as scars or sores?

Start with a slightly green-tinted foundation base (you can find this at most cosmetic counters or beauty supply stores, or at photography make-up suppliers), then proceed with your regular foundation; cover with loose powder (pressed powder will cling to bumps, making them MORE noticeable) before applying brush and eye make-up. That should work. What are the best products or ways to cover facial blemishes such as scars or sores?
I love the Neutrogena skin-clearing concealer. It stays on all day and has medication in it to treat acne.

Also, use SPF on a daily basis. Sun exposure makes scars and red spots much more noticeable. What are the best products or ways to cover facial blemishes such as scars or sores?
you can always get rid of them with a whitening/ bleaching cream. but the other alternative would be to use a good concealer or foundation =]
Try mineral makeup! Though it is gentle and beneficial to skin, it also works great as a coverup for blemishes be it scars, acnes even dark undereye cirlces.

Alternatively, if normal makeup is more for you, then opt for a concealer, preferably a cream based one as it provides a much better coverage than liquid. MAC has great concealer, maybe you will like to check it out.

As for fading it in the long run, do use spot corrector or whitening concentrate on the area.

HTH

  • How do i use these facial products?

i have vichy normaderm(for imperfections/pimples) i spent $150 on these products so i want to make the most out of them..

    i have:

    day cream

    night cream

    cleanser

    gel exfoliator

    toner

    conclearer stick

HOW DO I USE THESE AND WHAT TIMES SHOULD I USE THEM AT?NIGHT/DAY

THANK YOUS.How do i use these facial products?
Firstly, concealer stick is for use with makeup, you put it underneath foundation to hide imperfections.

Cleanser you dampen the skin, put a small amount of product into your hands and rub it onto your skin using small circles.

Then rinse thoroughly, follow it with toner and then moisturiser.

You can generally do this every day.

Gel exfoliator, you use this two or three times a week.

Same as cleanser, but do the circle motions a little harder to remove dead skin.

Rinse and again, follow with toner and moisturiser.

Both cleansing and exfoliating are a billion times easier in the shower!

    Toner is used after cleansing/exfoliating.

Dry the skin thoroughly then with a cotton pad put a small amount onto the pad and wipe across the face, making sure you cover all parts of the face (except the eyes) and allow to air dry.

Day cream is presumably your every day moisturiser, use it in the morning, before applying cosmetics and at night, after toning.

Night cream - someone else can take the wheel, I never bother with the stuff.

Also, products don't have to be expensive.

I use Garnier Pure 3in1 Wash, Scrub %26amp; Mask which in Australia only costs about $10 and my skin has never looked better.

Will hair growth products work on facial hair?

You know those head products that are suppose to grow back hair on bald spots? Would those same products work on your face? Will hair growth products work on facial hair?
Probably. I mean, it IS hair, right?

I don't think it matters on what part you put it on. Just be careful. [:Will hair growth products work on facial hair?
    GO FOR IT!!!!

[[[ just dnt put on too much]]
It depends on whether what the problem is. If it is Alopecia Areata Barbae, try this website called www.alopecia-areata-cure.com.

My bro recovered when he had bald spots on the head. The website explains about bald spots on facial hair too.

    Good luck.

What are some products that tighten facial pores?

I'm going to assume your a male and don't wear makeup.

The best thing I have found for reducing the appearance of your pores is to use a weekly or twice weekly facial mask that is appropriate for your skin type. If you think face masks are to girly do them in the bathroom before or after your shower and no one has to know. Masks are really good for your skin even if your a male! Here are a few home made face mask recipes, but you can also by them at the store.

    1陆 tbsp. honey

    1 egg white

    1/3 cup flour

Whisk the honey, egg white and then add the flour. The result should be a thick paste. Apply to face and rinse after 15 minutes or when dry.

    1 egg white

    1-4 drops of lemon juice

prepare and use the same as above

    another home remedy is this:

    1 table spoon of sugar

    1 table spoon of honey

1 table spoon of olive oil.

Mix together well, then use as a cleaner, rub in the mixture gently in circular motion allover your face, avoiding the eye area.

    Rinse and pat dry.

Remember, clean pores = small pores

Also always wash your face with warm water to help open your pores to clean them then rinse your face with cold water to close the pores.

What facial products can i use to make my face smooth?

i have a combination skinWhat facial products can i use to make my face smooth?
You need a cleanser scrub, a lotion, and a moisturizer.

    Cleanser Scrub

Scrubbing while rough is important, removes superficial dead skin cells and helps keep pores clean and lets the skin breath better. Use on wet face.

    Lotion

A non alcohol based lotion to keep your skin fresh and lower the redness that might arise but scrubbing. Use after you scrubbed and after you dried your face with a towel.

    Moisturizer

A good quality moisturizer to keep a balance on your skin and , of course, to moisture it.

Finally I would also recommend an oil free sunblock SPF 30 as the final protection. Always use sunblock at the end. What facial products can i use to make my face smooth?
what works really good for me, is to mix up some, ';i cant believe it's not butter';, a 1/2 cup of fine sand, 3 pinches of small purple sequins and a rotten mushy apple or pear....smear it on your face and let it dry.

Hi I would like to know what products could help me grow facial hair?

I have tried letting it grow out, but that doesn't seem to work.Hi I would like to know what products could help me grow facial hair?
Just keep shaving it with cheap razors lol, it麓ll come back thicker.

I麓d go into how you should get more protein in your diet since it is what hair growth comes from but it doesn麓t matter because nobody listens to me when I do lol.Hi I would like to know what products could help me grow facial hair?
There is nothing you can do to increase the rate of hair growth. Your genes determine that. If you eat a healthy, well-balanced diet, you can achieve the maximum hair growth, but you can't magically increase the maximum rate of growth.
Keep shaving. The more you shave the thicker it will grow. If you just let it grow out, it's going to be patchy and thin.

    Just keep shaving.
You should be glad you don't have a lot of facial hair! My boyfriend should shave five times a day, his face is always so prickly!
Shave. Hair will come back thicker and darker.

P.S. You don't have to start a question with ';hi';.
    Shave it all the time

It should come in quicker and faster

    Should

    No guarantees
just wait and let it happen.

My daughter has had acne since she was 13, she is now 23 and still has flare ups now and again. I have taken her to dermatologist, she has tried everything under the sun. It is a considered desease. along with hormonal changes, but can be controlled and calmed down with the right regimine. Never scrub your face, it will make it worse. Use gentle cleansers like philosophy which are natural with no perfumes or harsh chemicals. Cliniques face wash is also good with their clarifying lotion and moisturizer. Just remember to be consistant with any face cleansing routine. Try not to use too much makeup , just a little for cover up . Benefit has some products that cover redness, and blemishes very well and they are also natural. None of these things I have mentioned will cause breakouts. Keep your face clean and moisturized Use a spot sacylic acid product for the mean zits and you should be good to go. Your face will calm down as you get older. Be patient Hope this helps
Try brands that actually specialize in acne for better results. Proactiv is still popular amongst many consumers. It's top ranking! See this source for why. http://www.beautyqa.com/

Are there any products that will grow facial hair fast?

im 18 and still havent grown any, are there any products i can buy at a store that will grow facial hair? Are there any products that will grow facial hair fast?
Testosterone. You'll need a prescription. Are there any products that will grow facial hair fast?
About the only way to increase facial hair is to increase the amount of testosterone in the bloodstream. A doctor could test for testosterone insufficiency and prescribe injections. But don't count on it. Facial hair also increases with age, so waiting works too. Men from some racial and genetic backgrounds have little or no facial hair even thought they have plenty of testosterone. And testosterone injections have side effects, like increased aggression and shrinkage of the testicles.

    * Try using the Firaus oil or firdaus oil. Available online. Shave frequently in the process. Apply twice a day.

    * Try applying a DiHydroTestosterone cream named Androstanolone. It is avaialable in brand name andractim.

    * Andractim is used for breast growth, not hair growth

    * Rogaine is sometimes used to grow facial and/or body hair.

    Shaving:

    Opinions that it helps:

    * Shaving a lot does help. It's not an urban legnd. If you shave every morning your skin will develop a resistance increasing the thickness and amout of hair growth in the shaved area. It's definately a credible alternative to applying products.

    * Shaving does make hair more course.

    * Severing the hair at the base of the shaft causes the hair growing in the follicle to compensate for the added wieght which will have to be handled. It is a physiological response to an external stimulus.

    * One way you can think of why hair feels coarser after shaving is, like when you break a toothpick in half, it is easy, then break one half in half, it is harder, and continually gets harder the smaller the piece. This is based on the principle of levers and leverage. The closer you are to the fulcrum, or in this case the break point, the more force needs to be applied to break or bend it. Short hair is harder to bend than long hair. As for shaving helping, it doesn't. You may grow more hair after shaving, but that would be pure coincidence considering you continually grow more hair over time. While you have been growing any current growth on your face, more hair folicals are beginning to grow and therefore when you shave, you put any hair you currently have, back to the same lengthe as the new hair coming in. Next time your hair grows out, it will include all of the shorter new hairs, meaning more facial hair. You don't need to be a doctor to understand that.

    Opinions that it doesn't help:

    * Shaving will not do anything for hair growth at all one way or another. Hair growth is completely dependent on genetics and hormones. Shaving is just mechanically cutting existing hair at the surface of the skin. You cannot produce more hair by shaving. The reason why shaved hair seems coarser is simply because the hair is cut off bluntly and is newly growing out. Body and faciai hair growth doesn't stop at young adulthood--most men get hairier as they grow older. This is due to the continued exposure of the hair follicles to androgens (male hormones) which causes new beard and body hairs to develop from the hair follicles. It has nothing to do with shaving habits. If you are a young man and don't grow a very good beard, waiting is probably the best strategy -- you might grow in a better one as you get older, unless your lack of beard growth is caused by not producing enough androgens, in which case you should see a doctor about it. If you are of Asian or Native American ancestry, you might not grow much facial or body hair at all.

    * Shaving more often does not increase facial hair growth, that is only an urban legend. It all depends on your genetics and/or testosterone level.

    * Shaving does not help. People get this impression because when you shave, the 锟絜nds锟?or points of the hairs become blunt instead of soft. So it feels rougher, but the growth is the same. The hair might look darker but it is only because the length is uniform. One theory for the origin of the myth that shaving makes a beard grow faster is that humans perceive change by proportion. For example: going from ';zero'; to half an inch in a month is really noticeable; adding a half an inch to a beard that's already (say) 2 inches long is a much less noticeable change. In the first case, it's a ';100%'; proportional change, while in the second case, it's only a 25% change. So even if a beard is growing at a constant half an inch per month, it will *seem* to grow faster at the beginning and slow down as it gets longer, because the proportion of change is dropping. Some of the other readers are getting increased facial due to the onset of PUBERTY and not because they shave more frequently.
i heard if you shave it it will grow more faster and thicker xD

It usually dries my face out, so when I use those kinds of products, I put a light moisturizer on afterwards. But keep in mind, everybody is different, and that goes for skin type too. For best results consult a dermatologist if you are senitive to certain products.

It totally depends on the type of alcohol. There are literally hundreds of different kinds. Some are used as anstringents and can cause some mild irritation and drying-out of the skin. Some found in cosmetics are simply emulsifiers, thinners or a form of preservative. Get more information on the particular type of alcohol before totally ruling out a product!!

You obviously are keeping your face and skin clean, so I would recommend going to a dermatologist to get your blood clean with an antibiotic medicine. That's where your break outs are coming from. A few doses of tetracycline (specifically used for acne) will take care of it. Its worth it when you consider how much money you are spending on different cleansers!
Neutrogean works great! To help the breakouts, i would suggest useing their oil-free acnce stress control line. I had this same problem and it reaalllyyy helped me. And if you're experiencing redness Use their new line for redness. I hoped this helped! Here is a link to their product page. clearisil or neutrogena and clean and clear works also.
This is called the honey mask:

You will need PURE honey as it will dehydrate your skin and clear your blemishes and about half of a banana; the banana will moisturize your skin. Mix both together in a small bowl and put it on your face for 10 minutes, make sure you get it everywhere on your face especially the areas where you have the blemishes/acne.

After 10 minutes, rinse it off with a gentle cleanser (I recommend cetaphil or st. ives apricot cleanser because it washes away the dirt and oil on your face and cleans your face); also while you are rinsing your face, use luke warm water and then cold water to open and close your open to prevent acne.

After that, take some clean and clear persa gel 10 (works awesome!) and put that on before going to bed, next morning, rinse off and I swear your skin will feel sooo smooth and soft, also it will feel much more fresher and it will look radiant and clear your acne!

Also dont touch your skin because your hands contain natural oils on it which causes acne and oily skin, so avoid touching it!

And wash your face twice a day, morning and night

Also after you exercise, wash your face because the excess sweat can often make you breakout

Like I say, the more natural, the more healthier, the more radiant and best looking
    i use st ives scrub.

  • Are the biore facial products any good?

Yes they do minimize the appearance of pores. Are the biore facial products any good?
If you are referring to the facial strips, yes! I love them, and I feel that they do bring out the garbage from down deep. The first time you use them, you will be very surprised that there was that much garbage down in your facial pores, especially if you wash your face with the biore face wash first! Are the biore facial products any good?
biore is awesome. i used it to remove black head from nose one time.... continued using the facial scrub and had none since, but follow directions exactly. it said do not put strip on chin... i did and the next thing i knew i had hair growing on my chin. i had to have it laser removed. but i still use biore ..facial scrub etc
    i use an anti-acne face pack...tis guuud~~!!...awesum..
    yeah the strips work!!!

What does all thse facial products do?

what does a toner, moisterizer, facial washes, cleanser %26amp; scrubs do indivisuallyWhat does all thse facial products do?
Facial washes, which would be used first in this lineup, are used to cleanse the face. There are many types that are specifically designed for each skin type (you wouldn't use a wash that was for acne or oily skin on sensitive skin because it might be too rough). A cleanser is the same as a facial wash (just another name for it) A scrub (or exfoliant) would be used next in your routine. This helps shed dead skin. It is important to do so because as we age, the rate that you do this naturally really slows down. It is important because it will improve the look of your skin or in the cases of congested skin, exfoliating will help the debris work itself out of the skin. Manual scrubs can sometimes be harsh for most skin type. Do not use this kind on acne skin. The only skin that this should be used on is oily skin. Stick with a chemical exfoliant instead. There are some that can even be used daily. A toner can give the skin a quick pick-me-up but can be used to help penetrate the moisturizer deeper into the skin. After toning comes the moisturizer. Like the washes, this comes in several varieties for different skin types. Pick the one that is right for you. The last step, that tends to be forgotten but is really the most important step is SUNSCREEN!!! An SPF of at least 15 should be used everyday and reapplied often (every 2-4 hours). 90% of visual aging to the skin is because of the sun and other environmental dangers.

    Hope this helped you out.

Any good products for dry facial skin?

I currently use Hydra Complete by Estee Lauder. Perhaps someone can share what they use on their face w/out making it greesy!! Thank you!Any good products for dry facial skin?
I went to my dermotologist because I have very dry facial skin and sometimes experience dry patches and he prescribed a cream called pandel, it worked great but I ran out so I've been mosturizing with oil of olay night cream at night and all day cream as needed throughout the day it leaves your skin soft and not greasy your skin should soak it all up. I combine the cream and moisterizer with the toner, cleanser, and eye cream. My mom has been using oil of olay products since she was young and she doesn't have a wrinkle on her she swears by it.Any good products for dry facial skin?
Yes, Mary Kay has an Oil-Free Hydrating Gel, an Intense Moisturizing Cream, an Advanced Moisture Renewal System, and an Extra-Emollient Night Cream which all work wonders. Go to www.marykay.com and typr in your zip code to find a consultant in your area.( They only put the best consultants in that directory)
I'm unsure of the name, but there is an oil-free moisterizer I use from Mary Kay (call your local dealer). It's WONDERFUL!!! I used to look like my cheeks were burned from the dry skin, now it's youthful again finally.

I try not to wash my face but once a day before I go to bed. When I am having a bout of dry skin, I exfoliate with St. Ives Apricot scrub for sensitive skin. I also try to wash my face once a week with Ponds Cold Cream (excellent for getting rid of make-up). It has mineral oil in it, which can be greasy, but not if you follow up with a light swab-over with a toner.

Ponds Cold Cream is not for everyday use, but once or twice a week, it works wonders.

  • What are effective products for getting rid of facial moles?

I want people who have the same problem as me or have relatives with my problem to answer. Only people who have found effective ways of dealing with facial moles please. I'd perfer if the answer not be to do surgery or go to a beauty place to get it fixed. I'd also perfer if the treatment be inexpensive. This is a serious question so please treat it as such. What are effective products for getting rid of facial moles?
You should have them removed by a doctor. If your regular physician doesn't want to do it, get a referral to a dermatologist.

They're on your face, so don't risk scarring or worse by treating them with OTC products.

What food or products will make me grow facial hair?

I'm 16 and i don't have much facial hair just the average darkish hair under and over my lip and nose. A bit on my chin but i want a goatee and my cheeks as well.

What will make it grow out? What food or products will make me grow facial hair?
Facial hair growth is controlled by genetics so there isn't much you can do to help it..you're only 16 and many guys don't see decent facial hair growth until they are in their 20s or even early 30s....just relax and give it time! if you are really desperate then you could try applying some Regaine/Rogaine which is marketed for male scalp hair loss but can (for SOME guys) help facial hair growth...but as I say, VERY few 16 year olds have thick facial hair, I am sure in the next 5 years it will thicken up if you just give it time...What food or products will make me grow facial hair?
Nothing makes it grow. It's in your genetics as to whether or not you'll have a lot or very little. Perhaps if you shave the hair you have a lot, it will grow thicker the more you shave it?

Facial hair is attractive at many levels to different people, so please don't say it's not attractive guys and girls.

What is a good way for getting rid of facial acne without using store products?

i have acne on my face, but ONLY on my forehead...

is there something i'm doing/not doing that results in me having acne?

i shower everyday. What is a good way for getting rid of facial acne without using store products?
    hey,

well what works great is toothpaste it dries out the zits completley but what also works is alchol 91 % that gets rid of them and keeps them from coming back. But this also helps to by making your own facial scrup/ exfoliator. add sugar or sand to lotion or liquid soap or even body wash. and stir it together in a bowl then rub it on to your face for about 5 mins. then wash off then apply the alchol. This works great! What also might be causeing you to break out is if you have Bangs or where hats alot. If you need anymore help please feel free to e-mail me i'd be more then happy to help out :-)What is a good way for getting rid of facial acne without using store products?
I'm sorry if this is bad answer because you might need to use store products.

I have pretty much the same problem as you, but i can see my skin improving. When i noticed my skin was getting worse, i went to a doctor who prescribed me to get some things from the chemist. Cetaphil, Clydatech (clyndamicine) safe moisturiser (non codemagenic, non hyper allergenic) and differin. Wash your face 2 times a day, followed by clyndatech then moisturiser and only use differin at night.

    Hope this all helps
My brother suffered from Acne when he was younger and he used a facial scrub in the morning and in the evening. It never really seemed to clear it up and my mum used to make an avocado face pack. She just mushed it up and pasted it on. He left it on for about 15 minutes and he did it twice a week. Seemed to calm the acne down a lot. But, you could also go to see your GP they can subscribe really good stuff that could help. Plus its always best to get a medical opinion before you try anything to experimental yourself i think.
Use this soap thats made out of sulfur.I dont know what the hell sulfur is but it works.I use it on my face because i had alot of acne and the acne slowly went away.I bought the soap at a beauty supple store.

What do you think about St.Ives facial and body products?
I've never used St. Ives facial products. I have on the other hand used St. Ives body lotion and it makes your body feel really soft and refreshing. What do you think about St.Ives facial and body products?
Hey, I use their apricot scrub. I've tried both the regular one and the one for sensitive skin. I like the regular one a lot better, I love it. It leaves my skin feeling smooth. I also use their body lotions, they're good too. But my favorite products of theirs is their scrub.
Using their line of facial products is just as affective as the department store brands. The make-up remover is real good. The medicated apricot facial scrub works great. I just wish they made a toner. I am going to try the new body polish.
The apricot scrub works good on me. The con is that it is gritty. So it takes a little work to get out of your eyebrows and hairline. I've tried other products, but they don't do well with my skin.
I use St. Ive's Apricot Scrub for Acne Prone Skin every morning and I love it! it is inexpensive, smells good, and leaves my skin feeling clean and fresh!
i use the apricote facial srub and i have few or no ';blemishes'; on my skin. I LOVE IT!!!
i lovee their lotion. i know alot of people swear by their apricot face scrub, but i've never tried it since i love Olay.
I LOVEEE their lotion and foot cream. Their foot cream leave your feet feeling nice and soft :)
sucks dont try they just made my skin the same

    Any good facial products?

I am getting married in 3 weeks and i am worried about the pictures. I have been using proactiv but it hasnt given me results like you see on tv. I dont break out alot just really bad the week before my cycle and a blemish here and there other days. Any suggestions.Any good facial products?
i wasn't sure if you were asking for a face wash or make up.. so i'll do both lol..

take about four aspirin and dissolve them in a few drops of water.. add in a squirt of honey and make it into a paste.. you can also add in a few vitamin e capsules if ya like.. this can be used as a scrub, mask if left on for ten minutes, and a spot treatment left on over night.. aspirin has the same active ingredient as pro active..

another thing i do as an exfoliate is i scrub my face with an electric toothbrush.. it's sounds kinda weird but it works.. it really cleans out your pores and removes dead skin, oil and dirt.. you can use any scrub ya like or the aspirin i mentioned.. i like to use st. ives.. and i do it about three times a week..

only wash your face when you wake up in the morning, before you go to bed, and after exercise.. excess washing makes your face produce extra oil..

warm water opens pores and cold closes them.. so wash with warm and rinse with cold..

also you may want to get a good toner and moisturizer.. not astringent because it contains a ton of alcohol and is rough on your skin..

and watch the make up you use.. a mineral make up is so much better for your skin.. it doesn't clog your pores or make you break out.. i like to use bare minerals make up and have for almost three years.. i love it.. a little goes a long way with it and you can get a starter kit for about sixty dollars.. if you would like to check them out their site is:

    http://www.bareminerals.com

i hope this helps..Any good facial products?
Hi, I'm a licensed Esthetician and have several suggestions for you that should work. First use a good cleanser AND a lotion that fights bacteria. I strongly suggest Clear Advantage by Arbonne-you can order it on-line at NaturallySimple.myarbonne.com It really works, trust me!

Most importantly DO NOT put anything on your skin that will strip away the natural oils, all your doing when you do this if forcing your body to produce more of what you don't want, OIL!

Don't pick at, rub or squeeze white heads, it can cause the infection to spread (yes, acne is an infection), you can permanently damage the skin and you could scar (as I'm sure you already know).

Always use LUKEWARM water, never hot.

Good Luck and Congrats! I am sure you will look beautiful on your special day,
St Ives Apricot scrub!! I love it, there are a few to choose from including blackhead and blemish control (my fave) Ive had acne all my life and I'm not kidding when i say Ive tried everything!! Heres some fun homemade masks for you

Homemade face mask for blemished skin: Take a chopped tomato, 1 tbsp of instant oatmeal, 1 tbsp lemon juice. Blend all ingredients just until combined. Apply to skin, making sure the mixture is thick enough to stay on blemished areas. Add a bit more oatmeal to thicken the mask. Leave on 10 mins. Wash with warm water.

    Apple Zinger Facial Mask

(oily skin that is acne prone)

    1 medium size apple (grated)

    5 tablespoons of honey

Mix the grated apple and mix with honey to make a mask. Smooth over skin then let sit for 10 minutes, rinse off with cool water.

    Face Masks for Dry Skin

Egg Yolk %26amp; Honey Mask: Take 1 tablespoon honey, 1 egg yolk, 1/2 teaspoon almond oil and 1 tablespoon yogurt. Mix together and apply on face. Honey smoothes the skin, egg and almond oil moisturize, and yogurt refines and tightens pores. Leave for 20 mins to half an hour.

Banana Face Mask: Mash 1/4 ripe banana and mix with half a cup natural yogurt and 1 tablespoon of honey. Apply this pack on face and neck and leave for 20 minutes and then rinse off.

Olive oil and Egg Mask: Mix 1 egg yolk with 1 tbsp. olive oil %26amp; 1 tbsp. plain yogurt. Apply on face and leave for 20 minutes.

    Face Masks for Oily Skin

Egg Yolk, Avocado %26amp; Mud Facial Mask: Buy fuller鈥檚 earth mud / clay from any health store. Mix 1 tablespoon dry clay, 1 egg yolk, 1/4 of a mashed avocado and enough witch hazel to create a smooth mixture. Mud dries excess sebum while Witch hazel tones the skin.

Lemon Face Mask: Mix 1 tbsp. lemon juice with 1/4 cup ground oatmeal and 1 tbsp. yogurt. Apply on face and leave for 20 minutes, then wash off with warm water.

I really like using lemon juice works great for acne acne scars and dark spots also for oily skin apply once daily with a cotton ball vitamin c is a natural skin brightener so youll also have glowing skin

NO PARABENS OR PRESERVATIVES. It is the only skin care that the Japan Government has certified as 100% natural. Most products are giving us breast cancer with the preservatives and parabens. Check out your leading brands. They use harmful chemicals to make us look good. We are all going ot be pretty in a casket. Methyl Parabens, and every other kind of paraben. I use Proactiv solution and I have for years and I love it! It works quickly and doesn't dry out your skin!

I use it in the evenings after my shower and sometimes in the morning if I'm feeling like I need an extra boost.

I would definitely recommend Proactiv (you need to order if though) becuase I've used it and loved it for years, but I do have to note that a lot of my friends used it and didn't have great results. It would work well for them and then quickly acclimate to their skin or dry their skin out. I have never experienced any of these problems though!

    Good luck!
Okay... twice aday use proactive.... whatever matches your skin. Ask you skin care professional too. :)
Clean and clear is cheap it doesnt work i use something my dermatologist got me called retin-a at night and in the morning clindamycin phophate. It really works!!
Clean and Clear's purple and silver acne kit. It has three different medications to stop acne, prevent pimples, and keep skin clear
I use AcneFree it is the knock off version of Proactive...works better though, cheaper, and you can get it at most local stores!
    1. apricot scrub ( the 1 for blemishes) and clean n clear vanishing creeme
I use a Grapefruit and Tea Tree Cleansing Soap Bar ($4.50 at Midnight Fairy Inc) which is gentle on my skin. I have very sensitive skin.. so thats a must. For moisturizing I use Dove Essential Nutrients Day Lotion (Less than $5)
If you have serious problems, see a doctor. If not, you may solve your problem by using a skin regimen regularly.

You should clear your skin with a soap or liquid cleanser first, then deep cleanse and exfoliate your skin with a toner and then moisturize with a suitable moisturizer (oil free etc.). You should follow these steps twice a day. And if you have blackheads you may also use a scrub.

If you're looking for an economical alternative you may try Neutrogena, clean%26amp;clear or L'oreal pure zone (it's for below 18). But if you can afford Vichy (normaderm) or Clinique (skin type 3 or 4) is better.
I use this it's a clarifying system that keeps your face oil free for up to 12 hours and that helps you prevent less breakouts because oil is what causes us to breakout. Oil collects dirt and other debris that build up and clog inside the pore causing. I cleanse with cleanser then rinse with warm water then I tone. Toning is very important this closes your pores so oil don't get out. In order for your skin to keep oil free pores need to be toned. then I moisturize. Moisturizer contains antioxidants and the Hydrolipid Matrix, which helps hydrate, smooth, and protect against moisture loss. I do these steps twice a day. Morning and night and everyday of the week. http://cgarcia1.qbeautyzone.com/products鈥?/a>

It's been clinically proven to improve skin clarity, treat fine lines, and hydrate the skin. Noncomedogenic/nonacnegenic (won't clog pores and won't promote acne).

  • What are your favorite products to use for giving a facial?

I love to use facial masks, especially the kind that heats up. I think a light scrub is good, and I like to steam my face (sit over hot steam with a towel over my head) then take a cold wash rag and wipe my face off. The steam opens your pores. I think it is great to drop a nice scent into the steam to help your body and mind relax (great stress reliever). What are your favorite products to use for giving a facial?
Use St. Ives facial scrub every day in the shower. At night, apply a thin coat of Oil Of Olay total effects moisturizer to fight the 7 signs of aging and you will never need a facial again. Trust me, nothing works better to give your skin the healthiest glow possible. Total Effects can cost around $25 but it's worth it.What are your favorite products to use for giving a facial?
My favourite product for a facial is the H2o+ Mineral Mud Mask. It is excellent for reducing oil production and is filled with vitamin enriched ingredients to draw out impurities and even out skin tone. This is followed by the H2o+ Face Oasis Moisturiser which is easily absorbed by skin and gives a lasting effect on skin appearence.
You had to ask didn't you!!! :)
    Cream of Sumyoungguy
    chrysophenine
first one is right on the money...shot.
Apricot Scrub!!!!!!!! Greatest stuff in the world!!!!! I used it last night and already I am clearing up@@@
HOT FACE TOWELS TWICE A DAY AND NONE OF THESE CRAZY FACIAL CREAMS.
toothpaste and cucumbers blended together. no kidding. it works really well if you just rub it on ur face and leav it there for 5-10 minutes.

I'm curious about a line of Facial and body products called Arbonne?

If you ever tried to product, tell me what you think about it. If you are a consultant tell me what you like about working for the company? Do you feel is a better product than old Mary Kay?I'm curious about a line of Facial and body products called Arbonne?
I am a consultant, and I've used Mary Kay before. I think Arbonne is much higher quality -- hence the price, since the company uses much better ingredients. I use the Anti-Aging line and it is wonderful! And I've totally turned to the Arbonne make-up line for my cosmetics. There hasn't been anything that I've tried, save the children's vitamins that were subsequently discontinued, that I didn't like for me or my family!

As for the company, it's the best run and supportive company I've come across. Their education online module (Arbonne University) is award-winning. If you are considering signing up as a consultant, either for a discount on the products or to build a business, I'd say go for it!I'm curious about a line of Facial and body products called Arbonne?
I have a friend in her 50s and she SWEARS by Arbonne!

I used to sell Mary Kay and I still use their Velocity product. I like it. I don't sell MK (or anything else) anymore. It wasn't for me.

    Good luck! :)
I've sold both, and used both. Mary Kay is cheaper, by far, but not a better product. Arbonne is very pricey, but is worth the money if you are really serious on an upkeep regimen. If your like me and make up and facial products are all the same, its not worth the waste. Now they are very good products, and are made with very good, natural ingredients and come with very mild irritation risks, so they are good for even the most sensitive skin, they are still ridiculously priced!! But on the upside I guess, it is also very concentrated, so a little goes a very long way...I absolutely LOVE their shampoo and conditioner...their regular liquid foundation is the best by far as well...other than that, nothing is a huge amazement...unless you are older, and I've talked with people and the anti-aging stuff works very well.

Your best bet is to sign up to sell it, because you can buy stuff for yourself at a nicely discounted price! :) Now, its hard to find anyone to buy it from you to make a profit from it, but it saves in the long run if you use the product itself. I'm personally a fan of Avon..nice, cheap, and has a lot to chose from.
